I ran into a bit of a roadblock when it came to working on my goals for December.
Two days after I originally posted my goals list here, I found myself in a lot of pain and having great difficulty moving as the result of a torn muscle in my back. I’m healing now, moving better and in a lot less pain, but I’d be lying if I said it hadn’t had a detrimental effect on what I had hoped to get done.
So, with that in mind, let’s go over what did happen.
- Write something every day
Not only were there days where I didn’t get any writing done, for the days where I did get something down, what I did has yet to be recorded properly so I can’t even say how many days out of the month I was successful.
- Restore my online presence.
This one I’ve done better with. While there might have been the odd day where I didn’t get all of my daily hashtag game answers done but I got the majority of them posted on the day of. I also tried to reconnect with some of the people I used to talk with regularly. How well that’s gone is harder to judge, but I do think it’s progress.
- Get back to regular posting.
As I said in the original post, I like to have between 8 and 12 blog posts per month. As of this post, I have 6 for the month of December. But I do have another 2 posts planned and I intend to get them done by Sunday, which will get me to 8. So I think I can mark this one as a success.
- Write a book review.
Despite making a goof when it came to giving proper accreditation, I did get a review written so I’m marking this one as a success as well.
All in all, I don’t think I did too badly, given the circumstances, although I expect I could have done better. Not that that’s an unusual thought for me.
Anyways, next up is my review of the year as a whole.
Sounds like you did great considering the craziness of the holidays!
