Writing at the Write-In

Last night, I attended my first local NaNoWriMo Write-In event and, overall, I think it went quite well. So I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helps organizing them and share my thoughts about it..

Britt said to me the other day that I should give myself some grace. That’s not something I’m very good at. Her remark was in relation to something else but it did highlight the fact that I’m often hard on myself.

NaNoWriMo – The Decision

Ever since Monday’s post, I’ve kept coming back to the notion of doing NaNoWriMo this year. Once the idea was in my head, it has simply refused to leave.

Earlier today, I was asked if I was taking part in NaNoWriMo, or the National Novel Writing Month. Up until now, I had dismissed the idea but thinking about it today I started to list some pros and cons.
