Home of Drew's thoughts and writings.
April is one of two Camp NaNoWriMo months this year.
So, how did January go?
I need to change my way of thinking about writing the first draft of a work.
I realize that I’m jumping the gun (or the bells, since it is New Years) here since the month isn’t completely over. But I already know how the scorecard is coming out so it makes no never-mind.
Given that we’re now in the last few days, I thought I’d have a look back at 2016; see what I’ve accomplished, what I haven’t; what I’m happy about, what I’m not.
Like I said in my last post, one of my goals for this month, and for getting myself back on track with the series, is to make myself a proper plan/outline/structure for House in Exile.
Last night, I attended my first local NaNoWriMo Write-In event and, overall, I think it went quite well. So I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helps organizing them and share my thoughts about it..
Britt said to me the other day that I should give myself some grace. That’s not something I’m very good at. Her remark was in relation to something else but it did highlight the fact that I’m often hard on myself.
